Garden and Greenhouse
Now that we're in the middle of summer, I thought it was about time to show an update on our garden, which the last time you saw it the starter plants may still have been in the greenhouse. The garden is growing beautifully for the most part. Some variety of plants didn't survive the late June frost we got, which is disappointing. But that is life. One never knows when or if frost will hit in June yet. And with a humongous garden there is simply no way to cover everything up when we hear of a frost warning. But, we're so thankful for the plants that survived. We've been able to enjoy fresh garden produce already. We also did leave some plants in the greenhouse. We are doing it to see how much faster the fruit will grow in there, and if cabbage does better in the greenhouse than in the garden. So it is a trial run for us this year.
